I always get nostalgic when photographing a matenity session...they are super emotional for me when it's the couples first child too. It is so important to take time out of the busy last weeks/months of pregnancy and get in front of a camera. I almost didn't do that...but at 39 weeks a lovely photographer friend of mine came to my house for a mini-session. I love looking back and marveling how young my husband and I look and how amazing the pregnancy process is. The time before a couple becomes a familly is filled with anticipation, fear of the unknown and lots of love (and that love will exponentially multiply once the duo becomes a trio.)
I loved the images we were able to capture during this maternity session at Matazanas Creek Winery. We were too early for the gorgeous lavender fields, but that didn't deter us from capturing this memorable time for the sweet couple.
